The services KCAVP provides to victims of domestic violence, sexual assault, and bias crimes within Kansas City's LGBT community will expand as KCAVP grows. Help for Victims, Partners and Families

Needs Assessment
KCAVP works with victims to assess their situation and needs, identify resources and, if necessary, provide referrals to meet these needs.

Court Advocacy
KCAVP helps victims obtain orders of protection and provides personal support and assistance during court proceedings in the Kansas City area.

Emergency Assistance for Victims
When appropriate, KCAVP can provide assistance such as short-term housing, transportation, food and other necessities so victims can regain their sense of self and their power.

Counseling and Therapy KCAVP provides 10 free counseling sessions for LGBT victims of violence with a licensed therapist to help them heal.
